Pro Skills Football was founded by former Premier league footballer Adam Bolder. To better understand the concept of Pro Skills Football, it is worth knowing more about Adam himself.

 

Throughout a career spanning fourteen years, Adam played for six league clubs, including making his premier league debut against Manchester United resulting in a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford. After spending seven and a half years with Derby County he moved to Queens Park Rangers and was made club captain in his first full season. Adam then made the switch to Millwall football Club and help propel the club to the playoff final at Wembley. He also had a spell with Bradford City, Burton Albion and Sheffield Wednesday, notably scoring two goals in the Sheffield derby away at Bramall lane.

Pro Skills Football was set up by Adam to give children access to the best coaching using methods usually reserved for those playing at the highest levels of football. This means that children get professional coaching and support in order to improve their skills, fitness, knowledge of tactics and strategies for managing the game and more.

 

Another unique aspect of Pro Skills Football is the testing and stats cards. Children are assessed to give initial skills values, which are then added to a My Pro Skills ID card - similar to football trading cards which are popular at the moment. These initial values are measured using the same technology employed by professional football clubs and test children on all the major aspects of the game. The results of these tests are then used to tailor the sessions to focus on development areas and after a period of time, players are retested and their My Pro Skills ID Cards can be updated, so they can see their own progress. 

 

Adam still maintains close ties to his former clubs and he is aiming to organise matches against the other academies to help promote players and give them the opportunity to progress into a professional football academy.
